How the trade analyzer works

Every player has a trade value from 0 to 100: projected half-PPR points per game above a replacement-level player at his position, multiplied by the games his team has left. The most valuable player in fantasy is 100. A player at 0 is roughly what you could pick up on waivers. Values follow injuries, depth charts and bye weeks, so they move every week.

Why two good players don't equal one star

Adding up both sides is the usual way to judge a trade, and it goes wrong in 2-for-1 deals. You can only start one player per lineup spot, so the second and third pieces you get back often sit on your bench, and every extra player means cutting someone. The star, meanwhile, starts every week.

So on each side we count the best player at full value, the second at 80%, the third at 65% and any others at 50%. A one-for-one trade is a straight comparison. In a two-for-one the side taking the extra player needs to get meaningfully more total value to come out ahead, which is how most leagues settle these trades in practice.

Reading the verdict

  • A fair trade: within about 6% after the depth adjustment. Pick the side that fixes a hole in your lineup.
  • Slight edge: one side is up by less than 20%. Reasonable if it fills a need.
  • Wins this trade: a gap of 20% or more. Ask for more, or walk away.

Values assume a 12-team, one-quarterback, half-PPR league and the rest of the 2026 season only, so they don't price in dynasty value, superflex quarterbacks or tight end premium. Every trade you build gets its own link, so you can paste it straight into your league chat.
